Zillow.com(R) Raises Additional $30 Million
Zillow.com is an online real estate community where homeowners, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents and professionals find and share vital information about homes, for free. Just 18 months since its launch, Zillow.com has become one of the largest real estate Web sites in the country, with 4.4 million unique users in August 2007. Nearly 40 percent of all U.S. homes have been searched on Zillow.
Zillow.com today announced a $30 million Series C round of funding led by global asset management firm Legg Mason Capital Management. The funds will support expansion of Zillow's staff of 155 employees, including a 20-person national advertising sales team.
Since April of 2007 More than 50,000 questions and answers have been asked about homes and Zillow discussions has seen more than 40,000 contributions since the feature launched in July.
